Hello Semper Community,

Thank you for visiting our website!  We pride ourselves on providing a safe place for our students to grow and learn by demonstrating a caring attitude toward other, thinking about their community, communicating with one another and developing knowledge about the world around us. Our mission statement highlights this belief. The Charles Semper Elementary community promotes the power of learning through the development of knowledgeable lifelong learners utilizing inquiry and creativity.  We will develop critical thinkers who respect and appreciate the differences of others, collaborate and communicate in a caring and compassionate way in order to actively participate in a peaceful, global and diverse world. We are the, “Pioneers for the Future.”

Semper Elementary School is proud to be an International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme (IBPYP) Candidate School. We have approximately 420 children, Pre-K thru 6th grade, who are excited to engage with IBPYP framework for academic, social and emotional success.  Our children come to school each day ready for a new learning adventure! Our Semper families and faculty share the same enthusiasm and responsibility ensuring that every child is learning, every day. Semper teachers are trained International Educators who focus on maximizing academic, social and emotional learning for all children. We share high expectations for instructional practices, inquiry learning and responsibility driven discipline.
Our Semper community participates in a wide variety of events at the school. A few examples are: fundraisers, Fun Run, field day, tie dye day, annual Sock Hop, PTA and community meetings. We strongly encourage family volunteers in our school as we understand the significance of your presence in your child’s education directly relates to your child’s success in school. Reading a story to a child, listening to a child read, helping a child with math facts, sharing career opportunities with young people and reaching out to new families are all methods in which positive support helps children at Semper in their educational journey.

At Semper, children have the opportunity to participate in enrichment activities beyond the regular classroom setting, such as: Karate, cooking classes, engineering classes, band and orchestra. These activities provide opportunities for children to form friendships accept additional responsibility and practice intellectual and social skills.
We invite you to browse our website, visit our school or give us a call at 303-982-6460 to find out more about Semper Elementary. We welcome your interest in our school and all of the learning opportunities that we offer.
