Hello My Name Is...
Dr. Lara Eddy, Principal
I began my teaching career 27 years ago in Japan at Nagoya International School, teaching kindergarten. Over the years, I have taught all grades at the elementary level in public schools in the United States and abroad at two international schools. My connection to the International Baccalaureate programme began 1998 as an IB PYP teacher. I eventually became an IB Coordinator as well as a consultant, trainer and site visitor for the IB Organization. I have a Master’s degree in reading from the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs and a Ph.D. in administration from the University of Denver.
On a personal note, I am a Colorado native, born in Pueblo, Colorado, but grew up around the world as a military kid. I have been married to my husband, Chris, for 18 years and we are proud parents to two wonderful sons, Paxton (11) and Camden (9) and a very friendly Golden Retriever, Comet. We spend a lot of time as a family enjoying the beautiful outdoors. Whenever we get the chance, we spend time in the Colorado mountains hiking, biking and skiing.
