School Accountability Committee
The School Accountability Committee (SAC) is a legally-constituted accountability and advisory committee of representatives that work collaboratively with the building principal to review school wide data and school improvement plans.
The committee is typically a group made up of parents, staff, administration and community members whose purpose is to inform, encourage, and provide opportunities to work together to ensure the school is on track for success.
The SAC examines school performance data, makes recommendations to the principal regarding the use of school resources, and guides school improvement processes. Additionally, the SAC discusses Unified Improvement Plans (the school’s academic goals and action plans), budget priorities at the school and district levels, school safety, and parent engagement.
In accordance with Jeffco policy, a SAC member from each school shall serve as the District Accountability Committee (DAC) Representative.
Meetings
At Semper, the SAC will meet quarterly for 60 minutes.
